Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Calorimeter collects, how it is used, and your rights over it.

1. Data We Collect

Account info: name, email address, and Google account ID when you sign in with Google
Profile data: age, weight, and daily calorie goal that you enter voluntarily
Food logs: photos you submit for analysis and the resulting calorie estimates
Location: approximate GPS coordinates, only if you grant permission, used solely to personalise meal suggestions
Usage data: standard server logs (IP address, timestamps) for security and debugging

2. How We Use Your Data

To provide calorie tracking and meal suggestion features
To save your settings and history across sessions
To process payments via Paddle (see section 4)
To improve the accuracy and reliability of the service

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted on secure cloud infrastructure. Food photos are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis and are not stored beyond the duration of the API call.

4. Payment Processing

Premium purchases are handled by Paddle, our payment processor. Calorimeter never sees or stores your card details. Paddle's privacy policy applies to payment data: paddle.com/legal/privacy.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

Anthropic – to process food photos (subject to their API terms)
Supabase – to store your account and logs
Paddle – to process payments
Law enforcement, if required by applicable law

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing doron.shamia@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser localStorage to remember your login session. No third-party advertising cookies are used.

8. Children

Calorimeter is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes.
